We are always very pleased to welcome new members.

There are no auditions for the choir, and although it's useful if you have some ability to read music, there are some great resources available to be able to learn the majority of pieces by ear from the comfort of your own home, and of course we have excellent coaching at rehearsals from both our director, Alistair Auld, and other professional musicians within the choir.

We sing in a SATB format, and all voice parts are welcome.

We are a very friendly group, and there is always a contingent who heads for the pub after rehearsals and concerts, so if you are interested, please get in touch, so you can enjoy good music, good company and the the joy of singing at our concerts!

Our rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7.15-9.15 pm.

We have a break over Christmas, and other breaks at the start and end of summer, depending on the timings of our concerts.

For the majority of the year our rehearsals are held at Bishops Castle Community College in the main school hall:

Over the summer, we also use Lydham Village Hall:

Membership fees are due at the start of each concert rehearsal programme.  Current fees are £3.50 per rehearsal, plus up to around £5 per concert additionally for music hire (it is also possible to bring your own music if you already have the correct version of the work we are singing).  Membership is free for newcomers for the first half term (so you can see if you enjoy singing with us!), and 16 and 17 year olds are half price.

We hold several social events during the year, including a summer party, a bring-and-share evening in conjunction with our AGM in late spring, and of course the informal pub trips after all rehearsals.
