BRAHMS GERMAN REQUIEM

The Marches Choir, conducted by Alistair Auld, will again be joined by the Marches Sinfonia (led by Ann Tupling) and renowned soloists, Caroline Clarke (soprano) and Nicholas Morris (baritone), to perform Brahms' exquisite and emotional German Requiem

The main piece will be complemented by Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture and Violin Concerto (with the young and talented soloist Ayla Sahin), to bring an evening of glorious music to Bishop's Castle.

OPERA GALA

Walcot Hall, Lydbury North SY7 8AZ

The stunning surroundings of Walcot Hall will provide the backdrop to an evening of popular operatic aria, duet and chorus pieces, all set in its magnificent ballroom.  The Marches Choir, together with members of AberOpera (also led by the choir's conductor Alistair Auld), and the Marches Sinfonia orchestra, will perform a variety of well known and much-loved opera numbers, from Mozart to Verdi, all sung in the vernacular, making this a musical night to remember!

ROYAL BRITISH LEGION CONCERT

This event to commemorate and celebrate the end of WWI will bring together performers from across our local area.  The Marches Choir will perform their own short programme, as well as leading the rousing finale to the evening in which all performers and the audience will take part.

ST CECILIA CELEBRATION

The Marches Choir and Sinfonia will bring an uplifting evening of music to celebrate the day of St Cecilia, patroness of musicians.  Expect both popular and and sublime lesser-known pieces from Monteverdi, Buxtehude, Purcell and Vivaldi.
